Surrey Amphibian and Reptile Group Chairwoman Receives MBE

The Chairwoman of Surrey Amphibian and Reptile Group in Surrey, was established in 1987 to care for and preserve the native species of the UK, has received an MBE for services to Amphibian and Reptile Conservation.

Dr Julia Wycherley was named in the New Years Honours list for her wildlife conservation work.

Dr Wycherley is among 3 Surrey people to receive an MBE, one of whom was Marjorie Williams for services to heritage and to the community in Guildford, Mrs Williams was in charge of guided tours around Guildford's landmarks for 24 years until she retired in 2006.
