This is a complete lighting set-up that's perfect for a glass terrarium. It includes a complete lighting canopy and T5 light tube. This model would fit perfectly on any 90cm terrarium and comes with a D3+ tube which offers 6% UV, ideal for rainforest reptiles.

Overview:

The Arcadia Vivarium canopy is a stylish lighting canopy that fits on the top of your 90cm reptile terrarium.

This set is great value because unlike other lighting canopies it comes complete with a T5 lighting tube with the right UV for rainforest reptiles.

Often T8 tubes are used for reptiles, but because the light has to penetrate the terrarium mesh, much of the UV is lost, so the much stronger T5 light is better.

UV light is very important for reptiles because without the vitamin D it provides they cannot produce enough calcium to grow with strong bones.

The T5 D3 tube offers 6% UVB  which is perfect for a rainforest reptile such as a chameleon, iguana or day gecko. Rainforest animals are not under the constant glare of the sun as much as desert reptiles, which need a higher UV so you have a desert pet such as a leopard gecko or bearded dragon, we have put together an alternative unit, the Vivarium Canopy 39W Desert.

The canopy is in smart and sturdy black aluminium housing and is designed to sit on top of the mesh of your terrarium.

The canopy is waterproof so it can be used with misting and rain systems.
