Swell Frog Starter Kit

Swell Frog Starter Kits come with everything you need to simulate your Tree Frog's natural environment.

These kits are suitable for many species of Frog including White Tree Frogs, Green Tree Frogs and Red Eye Tree Frogs.

One important aspect of an Frog set up is to provide plenty of hiding places high up in the vivarium. For this, the kit includes two bunches of artificial plants, jungle vine, and plantation soil which will also help keep the humidity levels up.

Humidity is another important factor so a sprayer and plantation soil is provided which will help keep the humidity levels up - you will need to spray the tank daily.

What's it all for?

Glass terrarium
The Exo Terra Glass Terrarium (30x30x45cm) is designed to maintain humidity levels to replicate a rain forest environment for your frog. The water-tight glass design keeps up the warm damp conditions that your frog will enjoy.

Soil substrate
Exo Terra Plantation Soil Substrate is made from compressed coconut husk fibre from the plantations of tropical Asia. This ecological substrate is ideal for increasing humidity in the terrarium and is totally safe for frogs, salamanders and burrowing or digging animals.

Water dish
Exo Terra Water Dish (Small) has a natural and realistic rock finish on the outside and a smooth non-pitted surface on the inside. The bowls are coated to prevent the development of harmful bacteria and are also easy to clean.

Jungle vine
In order to create the jungle atmosphere your frogs will feel comfortable in, the Exo Terra Bendable Jungle Vine (Small) provide a natural feel and look. They are bendable and twistable to fit any terrarium, and are ideal for arboreal reptiles and amphibians.

Rainforest heat mat
In the natural habitat of rain forests and jungles, the sun is often blocked by trees and so your frog will not expect a strong beam of hot light (in the way that a desert animal would) and so with the Exo Terra Heatwave Rainforest Mat (Small) we create heat and humidity with underfloor heating. In the jungle, heavy rainfall keeps the soil often moist what results in a high air humidity, especially when the sun breaks through the clouds and heats up the moist soil.

Hanging ficus plant
To make your frog's home as close to its natural jungle setting as possible we have included an Exo Terra Ficus (Medium). This silk plant is a realistic replica of real plants but easy to clean and maintain. It can be used in conjunction with real plants and reates a natural hiding spot for your frog.

Thermometer and hygrometer
The Exo Terra Analogue Thermometer and Analogue Hygrometer will enable you to monitor the heat and humidity levels within your frog's home. They will help you to keep the right balance between heat and moisture that will keep your frog healthy.

Spray bottle
Spraying your terrarium helps to maintain a healthy level of humidity. This keeps your frog in peak condition and encourages feeding, the Critters Spray Bottle holds 550ml of water.

Vetark Nutrobal
