Swell Milk Snake Kit - Beginner

Swell Reptiles have put together a basic snake starter kit that can be used for hatchling and juvenile snakes, such as milksnakes - it also saves you over £30 on top equipment.

All of our kits to designed to replicate the natural habitat of the animal - whether it be a bright desert for bearded dragons, a warm humid rain forest for tree frogs, or this woodland type environment for your snakes.

The wooden vivarium itself is a great insulator and will help your snake to feel warm and happy.

You might also consider adding a Microclimate B1 Thermostat to your set up, for a small  extra cost, to aid in temperature control - during the summer months the thermostat will dim the basking bulb down, reducing costs and maintaining a more constant temperature in the vivarium.

What's it all for?

Vivexotic Vivarium
Vivexotic 24"x15"x16" Vivarium (in Oak,Beech or Walnut) is a nice home for your snake as well as an attractive showpiece for your home. The wooden surround keeps the heat inside and keeps your snake warm, safe and secure.

Basking bulb and lamp fitting
The Swell 40w Basking Bulb and Euro Rep Lamp Fitting (screw fitting) create an overhead heat source, so your snake will bask under the heat in the same way they would in the sun in their natural habitat.

Heat mat
In its natural habitat your snake would seek out warm places and cooler spots, for this purpose the Microclimate Heat Mat 8.5 watt is designed to allow a warm and cool area within the vivarium this allows for a natural habitat to be obtained for your pet.  We recommend the heat mat to be no larger than half the floor space of the vivarium.

Water dish
In keeping with the realistic habitat you are trying to create, the Exo-Terra Water Dish Medium comes in a very natural and realistic rock finish on the outside and a smooth non-pitted surface on the inside. The bowls are coated to prevent the development of harmful bacteria and make it easy to clean.

Thermometer
The Exo-Terra Analogue Thermometer is designed for you to monitor the temperature in your snake's vivarium.

Abutilion plant
