Swell's Tortoise Kit comes with a 36" closed vivarium, to allow for easy viewing and access.

The kit replicates the arid environment that would be a tortoise's natural habitat with soil type substrates, sun lamp, glow light and wooden surround.

This starter kit comes with a 915mm x 470mm x 525mm (LxDxH) closed wooden Vivexotic vivarium, available in a choice of three colours - Oak, Beech and Walnut.

A mounting/storage cabinet may be added in oak, beech or walnut, at a small additional cost.

Heat lamp and lamp holders

It is a reptile heating lamp that emits infrared heat waves. The spot lamp has a special built-in reflector to direct the heat in any direction required. The red glass transmits Infrared waves produced by the special filament of the bulb. The reddish light will not disrupt normal activity during night or day, which makes it an excellent 24 hours vivarium heater. Your two Arcadia Ceramic Lamp Holder & Brackets are used for mounting compact/basking lamps in vivariums.

UVB Bulb
The Exo Terra 5% UVB compact bulb works in tandem with your heat lamp. Animals like tortoises associate light with heat (from the sun) so as well as the heat lamp this flourescent light provides the necessary UVB rays which help your tortoise's metabolism and stimulates appetite, activity and reproductive behaviour through UVA radiation.

Feeding dish and water dish
The Exo Terra Feeding Dish (Medium) and Exo Terra Water Dish (Medium) have a very natural and realistic rock finish on the outside and a smooth non-pitted surface on the inside. The bowls are coated to prevent the development of harmful bacteria and make it easy to clean.

Thermometer
Tortoises should have their environment maintained to include a warm basking area, an ambient temperature and a controlled night temperature. For monitoring this we include two Exo Terra Analogue Thermometer
