Swell Reptiles sell a range of Glass and Plastic Terrariums that will suit the majority of reptiles and amphibians.

At Swell Reptiles we offer a range of only the best Terrariums available in the UK and sell all equipment and accessories that you will need to decorate and set up your Terrarium.

Terrarium Lighting can be controlled by the aid of external or internal fixtures. Such as the Exo Terra Compact Canopy or Arcadia Light Controller. The light system can be automated to simulate a more natural day/night cycle with the addition of lucky reptile pro timer.

Terrarium Heating is undertaken by the use of Heat Lamps , Heat Mats and Heat Cables , these will be positioned inside the terrarium. The use of a Exo Terra Thermometer is also required to measure temperature.

Terrarium Humidity can also be controlled inside the Terrarium via the addition of a Exo Terra Fogger or a Lucky Reptile Super Rain . The use of a hygrometer such as the Exo Terra Hygrometer will be required to measure humidity.

Reptile Terrariums

Reptile Terrariums are a popular choice of housing for a number of reptiles, they are available in plastic and glass options and vary in sizes from 30cm x 30cm x 30cm up to larger sizes such as 90cm x 45cm x 60cm or 61cm x 61cm x 122cm.
Many of the terrariums have doors on the front which make feeding and maintenance easier for you; these doors often do have locks in place though so you don’t need to worry about your reptile escaping. There are many other features which can be included on terrariums including cut outs ready for any wires or tubes, ventilation and waterproofing where required. You will still need to purchase other items to complete your set up, and may want to consider a starter kit such as the Swell Crested Gecko starter kit which includes a 30cm x 30cm x 45cm terrarium along with all the other reptile supplies you need for your first set up.

Which Reptiles would be suited to a Terrarium?

Terrariums are suited to smaller reptiles such as Old World Chameleon, Juvenile Green Iguanas, Geckos and Anoles, but if you are unsure which size would be best it is recommended that you contact one of our reptile advisors who would be more than happy to help.
