Swell Tortoise Kit - Advanced

Our advanced Tortoise Kit is an open top vivarium ('tortoise table') that provides excellent ventilation for your tortoise as well as allowing for easy viewing and access. It includes a mounting and storage cabinet.

Our starter kit comes with a 48 x 23 x 10 inch (LxDxH) wooden vivarium which is large enough for most medium sized tortoises like the Hermanns, Horsfield, Red Foot, and Indian Star as well as many other species.

The kit replicates the arid environment that would be a tortoise's natural habitat with soil type substrates, sun lamp, glow light and wooden surround.

Calcium dust
This is a calcium supplement which is used to 'dust' live food to correct the inadequate levels of calcium present in live insect foods. The Vetark Nutrobal 100g is a best-selling product and comes highly recommended.

Reptile lamp
To light your vivarium we have included the Arcadia D3 Compact Reptile Lamp - Screw Fitting (23w) which are designed specifically for the small to medium sized vivarium

Glow light and Ceramic lamp holder and bracket
The Exo Terra Glow Light Small (14cm) provides a moon-like glow that your reptile will find calming. We include an Arcadia Ceramic Lamp Holder & Bracket (screw fitting) to secure it to the vivarium.

Night light
Zoo Med Nightlight Red Bulb 60w is made of true red glass (not painted or coated) for better heat transfer.
Economical 24 hour heat source for all types of reptiles including tortoises, it provides very little visible light so as not to disturb your animal’s sleeping patterns.
