Leopard Geckos are among the UKs most popular pets, available in a huge variety of colours and patterns, known as morphs. These are usually gentle pets, and often actively seek out human interaction, especially with an established feeding routine. They can make great first pets for children, though do need to be hand tamed, just like any other animal. They are a solitary species, and so do best living on their own, ensuring they have plenty of space and food to really thrive. They require a low level UVB light to keep in the best health, and a warm temperature of around 35C at the hottest end. They are crepuscular, and will mainly be active at dusk and dawn, so are not always ideal when situated in bedrooms!
