Help and advice on shopping for: Bearded Dragon for sale

Adopt an Australian Beardie

Bearded dragons have become an incredibly popular pet in recent years thanks to their friendly disposition and ease of keeping. When you adopt a Bearded dragon you will start a new friendship that will last for years and is easily as strong as the bond formed by dog and cat owners. To learn more about Bearded dragon care, read our Bearded dragon guide.

What are Bearded dragons?

Bearded dragons are lizards found in the hot and dry Australian Outback. They are famed for their friendly disposition and activity, loving climbing and digging. Adult Beardies can grow as large as 2ft in length and live up to 15 years, making their lifespan comparable to many dogs. They’re easy to care for and feed on a diet of vegetation and livefood, like crickets and locusts.

Why should I buy a Bearded dragon?

We recommend bearded dragons for first-time reptile keepers as they are very docile, easily tamed and handled. While reptiles should always be cared for by adults, a Bearded dragon is quite child-friendly and a good pick for a family. Bearded dragons are quite affectionate and relatively affordable to care for once you get the initial enclosure costs out of the way, making them fantastic all-around pets.

What are the main types of Bearded dragon?

We currently have two types of dragons for sale in this group, Bearded dragons themselves and Rankin's dragons. Bearded dragons are extremely popular choices for many and follow the description above. Rankin's dragons are closely related to Beardies, and are very similar in their husbandry requirements, but are a little smaller, they still have a great disposition and similar needs when it comes to diet and heat, however.
