Monitor Lizard Livestock

Monitors are a larger lizard that tend to be heavy bodied, have large claws, and voracious appetites. Almost all of them are carnivores, and will eat great quantities to maintain their large body size. One of the smaller species of Monitor, the Ackie Monitor, is a popular pet in the UK due to its smaller size, docile temperament and calm dispositions. Another popular smaller species is the Savannah Monitor, or Bosc Monitor, which only grow to around 1m in length. Other monitors that are popular include Green Tree Monitors, Peach-Throat Monitors, and Roughneck Monitors.
