Bearded Dragons rely on their environment to maintain their body temperature, so having the correct temperature gradient in your vivarium is vital to keep them healthy.
Your vivarium will need to contain both areas of high and cooler temperatures so that your Beardie can move freely between them and self-regulate their body temperature - this is best created with a hot spot at one end, and a cooler end at the other, meaning they can move around to suit themselves. You're aiming for the hot spot to be 38-40C, and the cooler end should be around 25C, giving them the best options.
Setting up an effective temperature gradient can be tricky, so here at Swell Reptile's we've made the process a little easier for you.
