As is the case for any reptile that you keep, ensuring that your Leopard Gecko has the right diet is vital to maintaining their health. Leopard Gecko's are insectivorous (insect eaters) meaning that live food is a core part of their diet.
Typical examples of insects that will provide your Leopard Gecko with the nutrients they need and that they will enjoy include crickets, mealworms, locusts and waxworms.
Each type of live food has different nutritional benefits and will need to be fed to your Leopard differently. For example, Locusts are a good source of protein, while waxworms make for a great, occasional treat (their high fat content means that they should not be fed to your gecko more than a couple of times a week in most cases).
Fortunately here at Swell Reptiles we stock a great variety of live food, perfect for Leopard Geckos, from crickets to mealworms and everything in between. Our live food is dispatched on the same day that you place your order (if ordered before 2pm) and sent direct from our suppliers so that it can be at your door in the best possible condition as soon as possible!
