How do brown crickets compare to black crickets?
Unlike black crickets, brown crickets are much quieter, not making the same chirping sound due to having a soft body.
How long will these crickets last?
Brown crickets will usually last around a month after they arrive unless improperly cared for. They must be kept in a vented smooth-sided container, filled with plenty of food and water. As brown crickets are nocturnal, they can be placed under a bright light to conserve their energy and calm them. All live crickets need to be provided with plenty of moisture to prevent dehydration.
How do you feed live crickets?
You can feed crickets on most types of plant matter, or fruits and vegetables. Gut-loading is a popular way to provide nutrients to your reptiles, this is achieved by feeding your crickets vitamin-rich plants and fruits, which will be passed on to your reptile during digestion. It is not recommended to feed dead live food to your pets, as they will be far less interested in it and it will no longer contain as many nutrients as live food.
