What is a Swell Live Waxworms Pre-Pack?

Swell Live Waxworms Pre-Pack are bundles of live Waxworms (sometimes called Wax worms) that have been bred to feed exotic animals, including birds, reptiles and amphibians. We feed Waxworms nutritious honey and wheat germ to ensure they are packed full of the key nutrients your pets need.

Live Waxworms are ideal for various garden birds, they are the larvae of the Greater wax moth and so are filled with proteins needed for growth and development. They are particularly good for ill or growing animals as they contain a high amount of fat.

How long do Waxworms live?

Once they arrive at your home, room-temperature Waxworms will normally last around a week or two before changing into moths. The life cycle of the Waxworm and Greater Wax moth can be slowed by lowering the temperature of the shallow container your worms are kept in and carefully managing the conditions around the Waxworms.
