Arcadia Vivarium Compact Lamps

The Arcadia Compact Lamps are designed specifically for the small to medium sized vivarium, and can be used with the Arcadia Compact Lamp Reflector.

These lamps need no external ballast, and are standard screw fittings.

There are two types of bulb in this range, the D3 Compact Lamp and the Natural Sunlight Lamp.

The D3 Compact lamp is designed to give the level of UVB required by rainforest reptiles such as crested geckos, chameleons, water dragons and iguanas. These pets need a UVB of about 7% is order for them to convert that Vitamine D into calcium so they have strong healthy bones and don't grow up with deformities.

The Natural Sunlight Lamp is designed for reptiles that need natural light but don't require a high UVB. This typically includes reptiles that are native to warm, dry environments, like leoparsd geckos and many common snakes.

For high heat desert reptiles like bearded dragons, a much higher UVB is required.
