Corn snakes help and advice
Give a home to a reptile keepers favourite, the Corn snake
Corn snakes are cute and easy to handle pets loved by many reptile keepers for their wide variety of colour morphs and docile temperaments. We have many Corn snakes up for sale at Swell Reptiles, so if you’re looking for a new snake look no further.
What are Corn snakes?
The Corn Snake is a single species of American Rat snake that is non-venomous and kill their prey by constriction. There are many morphs of Corn snakes in the hobby, with a rainbow of colourations and patterns, each with their own names and reputations - it’s not uncommon to find morphs named after states, flowers and even sweets. Corn snakes are used to high and dry heat, which makes them fairly easy to cater for.
Why should I buy a Corn snake?
Corn snakes are a brilliant first choice for would-be snake keepers and they often kick off an obsession with the huge variety of morphs and colourations. Corn snakes generally possess a mild temperament and can grow as long as 5ft, making them quite impressive when shown to friends and family. Keeping Corn snakes is fairly straightforward and tends to work out fairly affordable compared to many other reptiles.
What are the main types of Corn snake?
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of different Corn snake morphs. We often have dozens of varieties up for adoption at any time at Swell Reptiles, with many dropping in and out of our store depending on availability. The only way to know if we’ll have the Corn snake that you are looking for is to check this page.
What should I look for when purchasing a Corn snake?
We ask that anyone wishing to adopt a Corn snake visits our Swell Superstore. While you’re at the store we will ask to see some pictures of the enclosure you’ve created for your new pet and give you a short interview to determine if you are prepared to own a Corn snake. We reserve the right to refuse the adoption of a Corn snake to anyone we think is unprepared to care for it. To help you get ready to adopt, we have a fantastic range of high-quality Corn snake products including starter kits, food, enclosures and more.
