Help and advice on shopping for: Frogs for sale

Give a Frog a home

Unusual, unique and quirky, there are a lot of great words to describe Frogs as pets but the best of all is fun. Frogs can be some of the most active and visually interesting pets you can have, displaying fascinating behaviours and abilities.

What are Frogs?

Frogs are a huge group of amphibian animals that can be found almost anywhere on Earth in any climate. However, many of the most popular frogs are those that live in the high humidity of the rainforest, such as Dart frogs. Frogs shouldn’t be handled and are better to be watched. Watching Frogs is lots of fun as their natural jumping skill and tongue projection can keep you entertained for hours on end.

Why should I buy a Frog?

Frogs are fun creatures to design an enclosure around, as they need lots of places to explore and plenty of water but not too much space. Although they are rarely loving, Frogs are playful and can be fun to interact with. Frogs are also quite affordable to keep, although the initial cost of setting up a frog enclosure can be a little high.

What are the main types of Frog?

There are over 7,000 frog species including many that can be adopted as pets. We have a rotating stock at Swell Reptiles, which means that sometimes we will have a particular species in and other times we won’t. The only way to check which frogs we have is by checking this web page. Some of our most common species are Dart frogs, Pacman frogs, Red-eyed tree frogs and Whites tree frogs.

What should I look for when purchasing a Frog?

We regularly have frogs for sale at our Swell Aquatic and Reptile Center. While at the store we will ask to see some pictures of the enclosure you have created for your Frog and give you a short interview to establish whether you are prepared to care for a Frog. We reserve the right to deny the adoption of any pet to anyone we feel is unprepared to care for it. To help you get ready to care for a Frog we have a great range of frog products, including starter kits, enclosures and food.
