Help and advice on shopping for: Tarantulas for sale

Adopt fuzzy Tarantula

A classic unique pet, Tarantulas are beloved by many Invertebrate keepers due to their unique behaviour and web building. There are many Tarantula species to choose between in a wide array of colours available at Swell Reptiles.

What are Tarantulas?

There are over 1,000 species within the Arachnid class that are classified as Tarantulas. Tarantulas are iconic thanks to their great size and hair. Tarantulas can exist in both high humidity and arid conditions but they steer clear of low temperatures, which is why the only continent they do not inhabit is Antarctica. Although many people think of tarantulas as quite scary, the vast majority are quite docile and are completely harmless to humans.

Why should I buy a Tarantula?

Tarantulas hold a special place in many pet keepers hearts. Some find them cute and others find them darkly fascinating. For whatever reason you love them, Tarantulas do make great pets, they can be quite active and their behaviour within their lair, especially while hunting, is spectacular. Most Tarantulas are quite affordable to get set up and have low maintenance costs.

What are the main types of Tarantula?

There is a wide variety of Tarantulas that you can adopt from Swell Reptiles. However, we often have certain species fall in and out of stock, depending on demand and availability. The only way to know if a Tarantula will be in stock is to check this web page. Most of the time we have Curly hair tarantulas, Pink toe tarantulas and Greenbottle blue tarantulas for adoption.

What should I look for?

To take home one of our Tarantulas for sale, you will need to build a suitable enclosure and photograph it then come down to our Swell Superstore. At the store, we will inspect the pictures of the enclosure and run through a quick interview with you to ensure you are prepared to care for a Tarantula. We reserve the right to deny anyone the adoption of a Tarantula if we feel they are unprepared to care for it.
