What is the Habistat reptile transport bag?

The Habistat Reptile Transport Bag, sometimes called a Habistat Snake Transport Bag, is a snake transport drawstring bag to keep your snake calm during travel. The bag is made from 100% breathable cotton to ensure your snake has plenty of air in the bag. At the top of the bag is also a drawstring opening to prevent escapees. The bag features a large Habistat logo and comes in one size to suit all animals.

Why do you need a transport bag for reptiles?

Travel is a particularly stressful time for reptiles of all kinds. When transporting snakes they might become aggressive or nervous as their surroundings change. In a bag, you are able to remove all external stimuli, keeping the snake as relaxed as possible so it doesn't harm itself or others.

Do I need to buy anything else with this bag?

While a bag will help calm a snake, it won't prevent it from trying to bite through the bag or protect it from the outside world. We recommend placing the snake within an outer container, such as a travel vivarium or terrainium.
