Find the perfect Toad to adopt
While there is no scientific distinction between Frogs and Toads, we generally think of Toads as a drier, more land-loving type of frog, although this is not always the case. Toads are easy to care for and a lot of fun to feed, thanks to their projectile tongue. There are hundreds of Toad species, including some of the most popular Amphibian pets, so you’re sure to be able to find one that suits you.
What are Toads?
The term ‘Toad’ refers to a group of different Amphibian species that can often handle drier conditions and live a more land-based lifestyle. Some Toad species, however, live a more semi-aquatic lifestyle, such as Fire-bellied toads. Although they rarely reach the popularity of cats and dogs, toads have been kept as pets for many years and have always found popularity thanks to their uniqueness.
Why should I buy a Toad?
A Toad is a fantastic long term pet that’s pretty easy to care for and quite loving. Toads are a lot of fun to watch, especially during feeding times, although they are not handling pets. Toads are fairly easy to get settled, depending on their needs for humidity and water, and cost little to maintain. Most toads live between 10 to 15 years, with a few species reaching even further depending on lifestyle.
