Swell Chameleon Starter Kit Platinum

Swell Chameleon Platinum Kit provides you with the very best for keeping Yemen chameleons or Panther chameleons, or smaller species in a social group. We provide this kit with a Glass Terrarium, approx 90 x 45 x 91cm. There are matching cabinets available for this as well, if you wanted to really finish off the look of your set up.

What's in the kit?

Chameleons like to live in the trees and so this terrarium is designed for an arboreal environment. The mesh screen means air moves freely and prevents any stagnant air from building up, keeping your pet happy and healthy. There is the large 90cm x 45cm x 91cm glass terrarium, with a light bracket, bulb holder and heat bulb hanging above, for easily installation. This is adjustable and ensures you get it at the perfect height, whilst being controlled with a dimming thermostat, providing you with peace of mind that the temperature is correct and safe. You can quickly and accurately check this with the use of the digital thermometer, which also doubles as a hygrometer, to check accurately the humidity levels within the terrarium as well.

For UV lighting we have included a ProT5 UV Kit, which is a plug and play system for easily setting it all up. This provides them with the correct UVB, and means they will have a good UVB gradient as well, with a higher level at top, which disappears as they go down, replicating the natural world.

For substrate we have packed a coco brick, which just needs to be soaked in water to expand and provide fresh coco soil for the enclosure, as well as Hydro Rocks and Hydro Matting, meaning you can easily set up a reservoir system underneath the soil. This reservoir is ideal for maintaining humidity levels, as the water stored here is soaked back into the soil, keeping it moist and therefore raising the humidity. This is also really important if you are using live plants, as they need this water supply, and it is easy to just top up the water to ensure the rocks at the bottom are submerged. The live plants themselves also contribute towards the humidity levels, meaning you are less likely to have highs and lows of humidity, when you spray for example, but a more stable long term humidity range throughout the day. The Swell Rain System provides perfect humidity, and is easy to use to ensure there is adequate humidity in the terrarium. It comes complete with a 9l reservoir and ensures that you can easily spray the entire terrarium at the click of a button - or use a ProRep timer and have it set up automatically throughout the day! We have also included pure Calcium dust and Chameleon Dusting powder, to ensure that you are providing the right supplements to your Chameleon.

There is a selection of plants and vines to, to ensure your Chameleon feels at home and is able to move freely, though a terrarium of this size will really benefit from large pieces of natural wood and vines, so we would recommend to add these in once you're set up (best picked in person!). Lastly, we have included some fresh live moss, and some disinfectant to ensure you can keep it look at its best all the time!
