The Swell Reptiles Chameleon Gold Kit comes with an Exo Terra Paludarium 90cm x 45cm x 90cm, ensuring you have plenty of space for a growing Chameleon. It would be suitable for a Yemen Chameleon from being small, and would be suitable for a baby Panther Chameleon for about a year or so, though this will vary on each animal, as some eat (and therefore grow!) a lot better than others! It comes with all the electrics required to ensure that your pet is safe and sound, with the right UVB and the ability to ensure there is always the perfect temperature.
What's in This Kit?
The Chameleon Gold Kit includes an Exo Terra 90cm x 45cm x 90cm glass Paludarium, as well an adjustable light bracket and clamp lamp holder, to hold the heat bulb. There is a dimming thermostat to control the heat bulb, ensuring that you can set the temperature to exactly what you want and know that your Chameleon is safe, as well as you yourself, as it won't overheat from this temperature. This can be checked with the included digital thermometer, which also doubles as a hygrometer, to check accurately the humidity levels within the terrarium as well.
For UV lighting we have included a ProT5 UV Kit, which is a plug and play system for easily setting it all up.
We have also included a reptile spray bottle so that you can easily provide the right humidity levels for your Chameleon, which is essential to ensuring that they stay healthy and hydrated. There is also a coco brick, which just needs to be soaked in water to expand and provide fresh coco soil for the enclosure, as well as Hydro Rocks and Hydro Matting, meaning you can easily set up a reservoir system underneath the soil. This reservoir is ideal for maintaining humidity levels, as the water stored here is soaked back into the soil, keeping it moist and therefore raising the humidity. This is also really important if you are using live plants, as they need this water supply, and it is easy to just top up the water to ensure the rocks at the bottom are submerged. The live plants themselves also contribute to the humidity levels, meaning you are less likely to have highs and lows of humidity, when you spray for example, but a more stable long term humidity range throughout the day. For more information about setting up for live plants and how the water reservoir works, see our blog about Bioactive enclosures.
There is a small selection of plants and vines, though these are really down to personal taste, and more will be required, especially to allow your Chameleon to use all the space within the terrarium. Why not see what other reptile decorations we offer. We include a tub of pure Calcium Dust, though you will also need a good multivitamin, as well as disinfectant, to ensure your Chameleon is in the best of health at all times. If you are looking for a complete kit, check out our Chameleon Platinum Kit, which includes a large selection of equipment and accessories included to provide you with everything you need to get started.
