Desert Bedding is a soil mixture that is developed specially for desert and Savannah type terrariums. In nature there are very few animals that live on sand alone, with most species actually avoiding pure sandy areas. The Lucky Reptile Desert Bedding is blended to recreate the soil that is found in arid regions, and has a high clay content which allows the animals to dig burrows.

In the lower regions of the substrate the humidity can be kept higher, which is important since a lot of desert reptiles, like Uromastyx can take up humidity through their skin. Desert Bedding is now available in 7L and 20L bags and in 2 different colours: Natural, and Outback Red.
