HabiStat Coir Block Substrate is an ideal substrate for burrowing species that live in a humid environment, due to the composition which allows for moisture to be retained well.
Because it is naturally produced from coconut husk it is 100% natural, organic and from sustainable resources. It is biodegradable, non toxic and non abrasive.
To hydrate the substrate brick simply place into a tray or bucket of water and leave for an hour or until it is fully expanded.
A block expands to around 9 litres.
