Help and advice on shopping for: Reptile Humidity Gauges

Regulate humidity in your enclosure

Sometimes it can be really difficult to tell how humid your reptile, amphibian or invertebrate enclosure is. To help you stay aware of the humidity within your enclosure we’ve created a range of precise reptile humidity gauges, featuring products from leading brands like Exo Terra, Komodo and Lucky Reptile

What are reptile humidity gauges?

Reptile humidity gauges, also known as hygrometers, are small devices that measure the humidity within your enclosure and give an accurate reading that you can physically see. This is really important as many reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates need a specific level of humidity to survive, if the humidity rises above that level they will start to become stressed and struggle to breathe, while if it gets too low they may not have the hydration required to perform many biological processes.

Why should I buy reptile humidity gauges?

Reptile humidity gauges are a cheap bit of tech that could make a massive difference to your pet. A reptile humidity gauge allows you to easily see if your humidity hardware is over or underperforming so you can quickly modify it to be as comfortable as possible for your pet. Some humidity gauges can also be used to measure other things, such as temperature.

What are the main types of reptile humidity gauges?

Reptile humidity gauges are all quite similar however the display and extra functionality can make a big difference. The display is what visually shows the level of humidity in your enclosure, we have gauges with an analogue display that looks a bit like a clock and others with a digital display. Some humidity gauges also measure other properties, like temperature, and can alert you to sudden rises or drops.

What should I look for?

When buying humidity gauges it’s really about deciding how much you want to invest. The more money you put into your humidity gauge, the more functionality and precision you’ll get.
