Help and advice on shopping for: Snake Accessories

What are some must-have snake accessories?

If you’re already snake keeper, or planning to get your first snake, then you should make sure you have the following accessories: feeding tongs, snake hook, and handling glove. These are essential accessories and particularly important when it comes to feeding and handling your snake. By using these accessories you’ll put some much-needed distance between you and your snake, ensuring that no-one gets hurt. Other great snake accessories include snake transport bags, egg incubators, and egg-laying hides.

How do you incubate snake eggs?

For experienced reptile keepers, snakes make fantastic breeding projects as they readily reproduce and lay eggs. Once your snake lays a clutch of eggs, it’s important that you remove them from your snake’s enclosure and place them inside an incubator. These incubators can be set to different temperatures and will keep your eggs warm until they hatch. After they’ve hatched, you can move your baby snakes into small terrariums or individual trays in a larger racking system.
