What is the Swell Reptiles Acrylic Terrarium?

The Swell Reptiles Acrylic Terrarium is a large acrylic terrarium suitable for most mantis, spiders and other invertebrates. The terrarium is completely transparent, giving you a full view of your pet insects, and features ventilation holes throughout to offer a constant airflow. The terrarium requires assembly and is made from durable lightweight materials, so you can place it almost anywhere in your home.

What are the benefits of an acrylic terrarium?

All acrylic terrariums are popular amongst the exotic pet community as they are fairly low-cost and easy to maintain. Our own acrylic terrarium has both of these benefits too, but it also stands out with a few extra features. The base of the unit is waterproof, so you can build up substrate for burrowing pets, such as tarantulas. Moving to the door, we have used magnetic material to create a snap-closing mechanism to ensure no pets escape. Finally, the entire design has been created to allow for easy stacking, so you can simply place multiple enclosures on top of each other if you have a larger invertebrate collection.

How do I set up this terrarium?

This terrarium requires assembly so you will need to follow the instructions to put it together. You will then want to consider the substrate and decor you wish to add to your own terrarium to make it a unique home for your pet. Once you have the style and look right, you may also want to add reptile heating and lighting, depending on the species you are keeping. How often should I clean my terrarium?

Acrylic terrariums rarely need much in the way of cleaning, a simple wipe-down with a pet-safe disinfectant and a substrate change should keep your enclosure looking spectacular. Alternatively, you can create a bioactive enclosure where you will very rarely need to clean anything in your enclosure.
