Help and advice on shopping for: Smart Habitats

A next-generation terrarium

Smart habitats combine the latest technology combined with an evolutionary habitat to create a next-generation enclosure for your pet. Our range of smart habitats features products from BiOrb, an innovative company on the cutting edge of animal husbandry, perfect for creating a head-turning terrarium.

What are smart habitats?

Smart habitats are advanced terrariums created by scientists in an attempt to build the perfect environment for endangered frogs. The habitats have lots of built-in temperature, light and humidity sensors that allow a reptile keeper to continuously monitor their pet’s habitat and even alter certain levels to recreate different times of the day. The smart habitats are easily assembled and simply need to be plugged in to start working, once all set up, you’ll even be able to control your habitat using your smartphone. Smart habitats come in a wide variety of sizes so you can find one for most amphibians and invertebrates. They are particularly good for housing frogs.

Why should I buy smart habitats?

If your pet is suited to a smart habitat and you have the budget, you should invest in one. Smart habitats are more convenient, aesthetically pleasing and better at responding to the needs of your pet than any other product on the market. Each self-contained smart environment can recreate the conditions of almost any environment on Earth with a precision that will allow you to tailor your setup perfectly to your pet’s needs. Simply put, smart habitats are the future of reptile keeping.

What are the main types of smart habitats?

Our smart habitats are split by colour and size. The colour of a smart habitat doesn’t matter to its occupant, so feel free to choose whichever fits in with the style of your home. Size is more important, however, as you need to choose an enclosure big enough to comfortably accommodate your pet. Our smart habitats come in two sizes, a smaller model, for frogs and invertebrates, and a large model for giant snails and bigger amphibians.

What should I look for?

When choosing a smart habitat, look at the needs of your pet and whether the smart habitat can offer everything your pet requires such as heating, lighting, humidity, air circulation and space. Ensure that you are certain of the habitats ability to fulfil your pet’s needs before making a purchase.
