Bean Weevils

The Bean Weevil (Callosobruchus Maculatus) is a small beetle, feeding primarily on dried beans along with dried peas and pulses. The larvae of the Bean Weevil are able to feed from the inside of a bean until it pupates, making itself a small chamber inside the bean. It will then emerge as an adult beetle, growing to only a few millimetres long.

We recommend feeding Bean Weevils to baby frogs, toads, spiders and praying mantis.
